Indigenous World Series Champs


The team is made up of members from Southern Ute Tribe, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Cheyenne, and Pacific Islander. The Offensive MVP went to Johnny Castaneda (bottom left) and Defensive MVP went to RC Lucero (top row third from right). Saturday, Nov. 11, a Champion was crowned for the 2023 World Sports League (WSL) Indigenous World Series in Las Vegas, Nev. This year’s winner was a back-to-back performance by Da Vibes Coached by Tyler Young from Ignacio, Colo. The team consisted of players from four states including Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Nevada. The team is made up of members from Southern Ute Tribe, Ute Mountain Ute Tribe, Cheyenne, and Pacific Islander. The Offensive MVP went to Johnny Castaneda (bottom left) and Defensive MVP went to RC Lucero (top row third from right).
