Playing possibly the program’s best-ever match against the Lady Wolverines, the Lady Bobcats actually held a 2-0 halftime lead – via two goals by junior Harmony Reynolds – before losing 3-2 as BHS improved at the time to 5-2 (1-1 3A Southwestern) overall. Standing a competitive 1-6 (1-4 2A Southwestern), IHS’ next match was to be Tuesday, April 19, at home versus Montezuma-Cortez (3-4, 3-1 3A SWL), but results were unavailable at press time. The Lady ‘Cats will then resume league play on the 22nd at Del Norte. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. Bayfield and Ignacio are presently slated to next meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 5, inside BHS’ Wolverine Country Stadium.
