Splitting wins and losses


The junior varsity lost 20-25, 13-25, 16-14 to the Lady Bulldogs, but two days later swept both Telluride (25-19, 25-20, 15-9) and Norwood (25-18, 25-20, 16-14) to regain momentum in the 2A/1A San Juan Basin League. Coming off a 1-2 finish atop the standings of a six-team tournament held at Ignacio the previous Saturday, IHS’ Black and Red C-teams, whether combined or separate, were also in action on 9/9 but results had not yet been reported. Rounding out the C-team tourney standings were: 3.Aztec, N.M., “2”; 4.Farmington, N.M., Piedra Vista; 5.Alamosa; 6.Aztec “1”.
