Shoots gather for friendly competition

Shooting from a standing position with the aid of his trusty shooting stick, Gary Maestas while Phil Drake (background) and Henry Norton shoot prone. Drake took first, Matt Norton placed second and Ryan Boyce came in third place in the 100 yard open-sight category.

The youth took to the range shooting .22 caliber, scoped rifles at targets. Ryan Howard offers guidance to his son Lanston, as he sets his sights on the target. Ryan Howard, tied for first place in the 200 yard scoped rifle category later in the day.
Shoot much? How about a .50 cal?
Assisted by Tribal Ranger, Babe Lansing, Gary Maestas holds a drone that was awarded as part of the raffle.

Shooters from across the region gather for friendly competition during the Jesmer/Archuleta Memorial Shoot, Saturday, June 24. Participants of the shoot purchased raffle tickets for various prizes from local merchants. The money raised from the raffles and entry fees, went towards a scholarship in Jesmer and Archuleta’s names.
