Southern Ute Chairman Marvin Pinnecoose, Executive Officer Lindsay J. Box, and the Justice & Regulatory Emergency Management team extend their sincere appreciation to the firefighters who have responded to more than 50 fires this season. To recognize their hard work and dedication, Justice & Regulatory and Tribal leadership donated water, hydration packets, and burritos to fire crews this week. This small gesture is a token of gratitude for the firefighters’ commitment, skill, and rapid response efforts, which have been instrumental in keeping the fires small, protecting valuable natural resources, and safeguarding the Reservation and region. The success of these efforts reflects the strength of collaboration and shared commitment to protecting Tribal lands and resources. Toghoyaqh to all firefighters for their unwavering service, sacrifice, and dedication to keeping our communities safe!
