Sunshine Cloud Smith Youth Advisory Council members serve ice cream and floats during the BGC 20 Year Celebration event. SCSYAC members, some who were also former BGC students, gave back to their community and spent time at the event on Friday.
BGC and their Board Members welcomed families, students, tribal employees and community members to their celebration. The event featured a bouncy house, axe throwing, giant Tetris and Connect Four games, photo booth and more.

Celebrating 20 years of BGC

Friday - May 1, 2026 by Divine Windy Boy | The Southern Ute Drum

The Boys and Girls Club of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe (BGC) celebrated its 20th year in service on Friday, April 17 at SunUte Community Center. The free event brought club members and their families together for an afternoon of food, music, games, and more fun. BGC offers a safe and nurturing environment that guides each young person on their path to developing good character, a respect of culture, diversity, academic excellence and development of a healthy mind, body and spirit.
