Road Runner Transit (RRT) services will implement temporary route adjustments due to a reduction in available local non-federal funding. This funding is required in order to access and utilize state/federal (match requirement) transportation funds.
These temporary changes are:
- Effective Immediately – County Dial-A-Ride (Reserve a Ride) service will nowoperateon a limited schedule of:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday with 48 hours advance reservation needed.
- Effective April 06, 2026 – Fixed Route service between Ignacio-Bayfield-Durango routes will nowoperateMonday through Friday only on the following schedules:
- 2A a.m. – leaves Ignacio at 8:30 a.m.
- 2B a.m. – leaves Durango at 10 a.m.
- 4A p.m. – leaves Ignacio at 4:55 p.m.
- 4B p.m. – leaves Durango at 6:20 p.m.
These adjustments are necessary to ensure the continued operation of transit services while funding challenges are addressed. Efforts are ongoing to restore full-service levels as soon as funds are available.
The following RRT Services at this time will remain unchanged:
- BustangOutrider (Bayfield–Grand Junction).
- Ignacio/Bayfield Dial-A-Ride services.
