We’re kicking off the month with a fantastic presentation by Becky Stone, a Chautauqua speaker from Colorado Humanities, who will be portraying the remarkable Harriet Tubman. It’s a wonderful opportunity to learn from the legendary abolitionist and Underground Railroad operator. We can’t wait for you to join us on Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 6 p.m. It’s going to be empowering and informative!

For the gamers out there, mark your calendars for our Mario Kart Tournament on Saturday, Sept. 27, starting at 10 a.m. Join us for some friendly competition, prizes, and lots of fun!
Don’t forget about our regular weekly and monthly offerings. If you’re a veteran, come and meet Greg Dotson, the La Plata County Veteran Services Officer, the first Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Need some legal advice? We’ve got a Free Legal Clinic on Sept. 16! And for those needing support, our Grief Support Group meets every first Tuesday at 3 p.m. in a caring atmosphere.

Our youth programs are a great way for kids to connect, too! Join us for Storytime on Tuesdays at 10 a.m. for some fun reading time that boosts vocabulary and social skills. And don’t forget the Teen Café on Mondays at 4:30 p.m. – it’s the perfect after-school hangout with movies, snacks, games, crafts, and homework help. This month, we’re hosting a cool Teen Night with laser tag in the library and pizza for dinner on Thursday, Sept. 18, at 6 p.m. It’s going to be a blast!
Last but not least, we’re thrilled about our IdeaLab programs! Dive into the exciting world of circuits, robots, and computers at Electronics Hour on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. to Plus, on Fridays and Saturdays, we’ll have classes on 3D Printing & Design starting at 1 p.m.
