The Southern Ute Utilities Division would like to inform the Southern Ute Tribal membership about the upcoming sewer jetting schedule.  

Utilities will be jetting this week in the Northridge residential area. There will be no jetting on Mondays or Fridays unless it is an emergency. 

 

What is Jetting? 

 

Sewer jetting is a powerful technique that utilizes high-pressure water jets to effectively clear blockages and thoroughly clean pipes. The intense water pressure dislodges obstructions and removes debris from pipe walls, preventing future issues such as unpleasant odors, slow drainage, sewage backups, and potential health hazards. 

Also known as hydro jetting, hydro scrubbing, or water jetting, this method was first introduced in the early 1900s and has gained popularity in recent years. Sewer jetting is highly effective in removing grease, sludge, and other debris blockages from sewer lines.
