On Tuesday, Jan. 7 the Southern Ute Cultural Preservation Department and the Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum staff gave a presentation on Ute culture and Southern Ute history to the La Plata County Sheriff's Office. This event took place to help increase cultural awareness and sensitivity within the La Plata County Sheriff’s Office and their business taking place on the Southern Ute Reservation.
