KSUT hosts Rocky Mountain Community Radio Conference
Radio personal that make up the Rocky Mountain Community Radio (RMCR), a coalition of more than 20 non-commercial radio stations in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming, gathered in Ignacio as part of the two-day, Rocky Mountain Community Radio Conference at the Sky Ute Casino Resort. A welcome reception at the Eddie Box Jr. Media Center began the conference, with a performance by Community Pancake, with KSUT/KSJD Reporter, Clark Adomaitis, and band mates providing entertainment in the performance studio, and a Station Bowling Competition at Sky Ute Casino Resort, Wednesday, Oct. 23. The annual conference included plenary speaker, NPR Managing Director, Bruce Auster fielding question by Rick Holter and those in attendance. Presenters also included ‘Membership Engagement’ by KSUT Membership Manager, Jonathan Hunt. ‘Sound Strategies: Driving Revenue’ by KSUT Underwriter manager, Jessica Kerwin, and ‘The Tribal Media Center: A Novel Model’ by KSUT Tribal media Center Coordinator, Colton Ashley.
