Expect 15-to-20-minute delays between Dolores and Rico

On Tuesday, Sept. 3, crews will begin two-week long surface treatment operations on a short segment of Colorado Highway 145, approximately 10 miles north of Dolores (Mile Points 21 to 23). Motorists traveling between Dolores and Telluride will encounter up to 20-minute delays, full stops and one-lane alternating traffic between 6:30 a.m. and 5 p.m., following the holiday weekend.

CDOT crews will work as swiftly as possible to complete paving operations; however, this work is weather dependent.

Traffic Impacts

• Motorists should plan for up to 20-minute delays and should allow for extra travel time.
• Vehicles will be guided by flagging personnel and signs.
• Access in and out of intersections may be restricted at times.
• A speed reduction of 40 mph will be enforced through the work zones.
