The Powerhouse supports local non-profits through Summer Concert Series

The Powerhouse is thrilled to carry on a summer tradition of local music, community gathering, and non-profit support through a summertime Community Concert Series. This weekly music series, presented by Visit Durango, will be held every Wednesday, from early June through mid-August. All concerts will be hosted outside on the Carver Family Plaza with half of ticket proceeds donated to a different non-profit beneficiary every week.

“This concert series is a chance for local community members to connect with some of our stellar non-profits through live music,” said Vanessa Frank, Events and Membership Coordinator at The Powerhouse. “As one of the only outdoor music venues next to the Animas River, we are thrilled to open up the space for a summer of family friendly concerts.”

Local musical talent will be featured each week, with a range of genres including funk, soul, indie rock, bluegrass, and classic rock. Concerts will start Wednesday, June 5, from 5 – 7:30 p.m. Individual, family, and season pass tickets are available for purchase through The Powerhouse website, powsci.org. Powerhouse gallery admission is included in all ticket purchases, inviting attendees to bring the whole family. There will be food available for purchase from Laura’s Artisan, and beverages available at The Powerhouse bar.
