Pueblo Community College Southwest and Colorado State University Extension will host a forest health symposium from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Friday, April 12. The event will be held at the CSU Extension office at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave. in Durango, Colo. It is free and open to the public. 

There will be a panel discussion with forestry, education and industry professionals and breakout sessions to discuss workforce opportunities and wildfire mitigation. PCC Southwest also will have information about its new wildland fire mitigation programs.
