Santa Claus makes an appearance, parading down Goddard Ave. on Friday, Dec. 1 as part of the Taste of Christmas event. Despite the changing weather conditions, families lined the street to meet Santa and view all the other floats that participated in the parade.
Neida Chackee sits at the Native Love booth selling jewelry during the annual Ignacio Taste of Christmas–Holiday Market event held in the ELHI Community Center on Friday, Dec. 1. As part of the Taste of Christmas activities included Holiday Market, Christmas Tree Auction, and parade.
Despite the weather, vendors sold handmade crafts and baked goods. The Herrera family braves cold temperatures to fundraise for volleyball expenses during the Holiday Market on Friday, Dec. 1 at the ELHI Community Center.

Ignacio’s Taste of Christmas


Taste of Christmas returned this year on Friday, Dec. 1, lighting up the town of Ignacio. The annual event featured a holiday market and a light parade, culminating with visit from Santa Claus. Attendees enjoyed holiday gift shopping prior to the light parade, where many purchased handmade gifts for their loved ones. As the sun sets the streets filled with spectators patiently waiting to see Santa Claus and the other holiday floats in the light parade
