Slow down, use caution driving through work zones
The Colorado Department of Transportation performs month-long surface treatment repairs on a ten-mile section of US Highway 160, beginning Monday, Dec.11. Operations will take place approximately four miles east of Mancos, Mile Points 61-71. Daytime work hours will range from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Surface treatment operations help treat road damage caused by harsh winter conditions creating a smoother and safer road surface for motorists. Work is weather permitting.
Traffic Impacts
- Operations will take place Dec. 11-29, Monday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Expect lane shifts guided by signs, cones and flagging personnel.
- A speed reduction of 40 mph will be enforced through the work zones.
- Plan for brief delays during peak travel times.
