After a long hiatus, Scrapin’ the Rockies are back, bringing back what Matt Stone started in 2011. Owner, Abi Lozano won Best Hydraulics for his 1984 Cadillac Coupe Deville. Dozens of custom show cars of all makes and models were on display at the Scrapin’ the Rockies held at the Sky Ute Casino Resort, Saturday, June 24. Other competition categories included Hot Rod style, Custom Motorcycles, Lowriders, Mini Trucks and Luxury Cars. Live music was also showcased with bands: Signal 99, Red Lotus, Crimson Kiss, Big Dane, and DJ’s Phish and Brunch Drizzle.
Southern Ute tribal member, Terrence Hight stands next to his 1986 Chevy Monte Carlo Super Sport, he had a total of three cars in the car show, including a 2013 Chevy Camero ZL1 and a 1984 Buick Grand National.
Not to be outdone, custom bikes were also on display, as this Raiders inspired bike shines in all its glory.
