Masonry contractors work to smooth freshly poured concrete for a new sidewalk in front of Porky’s Smokehouse on 85 Goddard Ave. — Tuesday, June 13 as part of the CO 172 Ignacio Resurfacing project. This project has been in progress since the beginning in March and is expected to continue through December of this year.

This project is a collaboration between the Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Oldcastle SW Group Inc. This project will make surface, accessibility, safety, and drainage improvements to a 16.7-mile section of CO Highway 172 through the town of Ignacio north to the junction of US 160, known as Elmore’s Corner.
