Native Love is now open for business

Native Love’s Executive Director and founder, Daisy Bluestar (Southern Ute) discussed the upcoming events that Native Love will be involved in, such as the Gourd Dance, Saturday, Nov. 19 at SunUte, as well as the Taste of Christmas, Friday, Dec. 2 at the ELHI.

Native Love opened their doors to their new home in the ELHI Community Center Building, Saturday, Nov. 12. The event was to introduce the community to what Native Love is, and what they are about. The mission of Native Love is to empower Native youth by provided culturally responsive programming. Native Love seeks to preserve culture through providing services to indigenous people and indigenous youth by supporting culturally sustaining practices in the Four Corners region. Native love (formerly Daughters of the Red Road) are involved with events such as: the New Years Walk, Children’s Powwow, Run Against Drugs, Voices of Our Sisters, MMIWP, various Round and Gourd dances and other cultural events.
