The Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy (SUIMA) hosted their annual Field Day at the SunUte Community Center Park, Wednesday, May 18. Matteo Figueroa and Nathan Ruybal cool off in the water filled kiddie pools during Field Day. SUIMA students enjoyed a variety of activities including water sprinklers, a bubble station, bouncy house, face painting, cake walk, obstacle course, music, snow cones, and cotton candy throughout the entirety of the event.
SunUte Recreation Coordinator Bird Red makes cotton candy to serve to SUIMA students and their families, SunUte Community Center staff and Tribal Information Services staff volunteered to run the cotton candy and snow cone station.
SUIMA student Clementine Carrillo races to finish the rubber tube portion of the obstacle course on Wednesday, May 18, during the SUIMA Field Day events.
