Sergeant Carol Shumway retires


Thursday, April 14, at 6 a.m., Sergeant Carol Shumway, completed her final shift on behalf of the Southern Ute Detention Center. “Sergeant Shumway has been one of the hardest working and dedicated staff/supervisors I have ever worked with,” SUDC Lieutenant Harrison stated. “Her hard work and dedication to SUDC will be greatly missed.”  

Carol Shumway has been an officer, courts/transport officer, corporal and a sergeant. “We wish Ms. Shumway well in her future endeavors and are pleased to share these professional accomplishments by staff and their service to the Southern Ute tribal government and tribal membership,” Tribal Information Services Director, Amy Barry said. “Job well done Ms. Shumway and Southern Ute Detention Center!”
