Chairman Melvin J. Baker and Council Member Lorelei Cloud attended a meeting with the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners regarding the Tribal Broadband Modernization Project. Tribal staff presented a project overview which aims to increase high-speed broadband performance and connect areas within the exterior boundaries of the Southern Ute Indian Reservation that currently do not have access.

Council Member Lorelei Cloud emphasizes the Tribe’s stewardship over tribal lands in relation to the broadband project and protection of culturally sensitive findings.
