The ELHI Community Center and the Town of Ignacio worked together to bring back the annual Taste of Christmas celebration and ‘Light Up the Town’ parade on Friday, December 3. Through the collaborative efforts of the community, businesses, and families the annual light parade was a huge hit and even featured a special appearance from Santa—who arrived via a helicopter flight. After the parade wrapped up, the Ignacio Community Library hosted a gingerbread man contest, letter writing to Santa and photo booth. The Christmas Bazaar and “Fill Your Bowl” fundraiser was held at the Dancing Spirit Community Arts Center inside the ELHI building. Dozens of community members showed their support throughout the night and celebrated the holiday season together.
