The Spirit Aligned Leadership Program is accepting applications for its Intergenerational Indigenous Women’s Leadership Program.

The year-long leadership program supports Indigenous Women Elders sharing their unique cultural knowledge with a younger Indigenous woman of their choosing. Together, they will envision and strategically implement a bold collaborative path forward as Legacy Leaders.

Selected applicants will receive $75,000 for the Elder Indigenous Woman, $50,000 for the younger Indigenous woman, and up to $50,000 for project support.

The application, eligibility and requirements, and further information about the program can be found at https://spiritaligned.org/circle-4-application/.

The Spirit Aligned Leadership Program will select ten applications from throughout Canada and the United States. Applications close on December 13, 2021.

The Spirit Aligned Leadership Program is a nonprofit organization founded and led by Indigenous Women Elders whose mission is to support and celebrate Indigenous Women Elders who have unique ancestral knowledge that can be helpful in addressing the challenges of our times.

“The sharing of Indigenous knowledge is so important right now,” said Katsi Cook, executive director of Spirit Aligned Leadership Program and member of the Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne. “The pandemic has taken away our ability to gather and practice our ways. We are opening new opportunities for Indigenous generations through the unstoppable force of the ancestral wisdom of Indigenous Women Elders.”
