The Town of Ignacio celebrated their annual Taste of Christmas event at the ELHI Community Center on Friday, Dec. 6. The community event started with a short light parade down Goddard Avenue. To begin the nights performances the Eagle Wing drum group performed a blessing song. Students from the Ignacio Elementary and the Southern Ute Indian Montessori Academy sang Christmas songs throughout the night. The hall was filled with over 15 vendors selling handmade desserts, arts, crafts and baskets filled with goods. The night ended with a performance from the folklórico dancers and a visit from Santa Claus.
