Chairman Sage attends Training in Michigan

Southern Ute Tribal Chairman, Christine Sage stands with Tribal Councilwoman, Andy Jackson of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians during a break session of the 14th annual Government to Government Violence Against Women Tribal Consultation on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at the Four Winds Resort in New Buffalo, Mich. The consultation was meant to facilitate an interactive dialogue between Tribal leaders and federal representatives to discuss how to reduce violence against Native American women.
During the opening ceremony of the 14th annual Government to Government Violence Against Women Tribal Consultation the color guard honored all Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women with a moment of silence on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at the Four Winds Resort in New Buffalo, Mich.
Tribal Council Member and elder, Clarence White of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians welcomes leaders and members of different tribes across the nation to the 14th annual Government to Government Violence Against Women Tribal Consultation which was held in New Buffalo, Mich. From Wednesday, Aug. 21 through Thursday, Aug. 22.
