Following the certification of votes for the 2018 Southern Ute Run-Off Election, where candidate Bruce Valdez received the highest number of votes, taking the seat with 150 votes — he was sworn into office on Monday, Dec. 17. Shane Seibel had a total of 82 votes from the election.
