Ignacio schools celebrate holidays

Lexi Young and other sixth and seventh graders of the Ignacio Middle School band started the program with two songs, “Old St. Nick on Hold” and “A Christmas Fanfare.”
The Ignacio High School Choir sang three songs, “Shika Njiya Nyote (Follow the Star),” a Swahilli song, “Soon It Will Be Christmas Day” and “Carol of the Bells.”

The percussionists close out the program.
The Ignacio percussionists took the stage to close out the program with a percussive take on “Carol of the Bells.” The eighth-grade band performed “The Little Drummer Boy,” and “Joy to the World.”

The Ignacio School District presented the; Ignacio Middle and High School Holiday Celebration, Friday, Dec. 15 in the Ignacio High School auditorium.
