Youth riders return to Sky Ute Fairgrounds

Southern Ute Royalty helps open the American Youth Bull Riding Finals Thursday, Nov. 16 at the Sky Ute Fairgrounds.

American Youth Bull Riding (YBR) Finals brought in 160 participants from Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona and Missouri who competed in six categories: Wooley, Calf, Steer, Peewee Bulls, Jr. Bulls and Senior Bulls. YBR was held at the Sky Ute Fairgrounds in Ignacio, Colo. Nov. 16-19. There were three local riders who fell short of the championship, Luke Mackey in Peewee, Dustin Sanchez in Jr. Bulls and Lorenzo “Woody” Pena in Senior Bulls.
