Baker Retires from Growth Fund


Executive Director of the Growth Fund Raymond Baker retired on Friday, September 1. Council members and over 60 employees from the Southern Ute Growth Fund, Red Willow and the Permanent Fund gathered to show love and support to Baker on Thursday, Aug. 31. “You have certainly proved to be the kind of individual we needed for the position. Not only in the business aspect, but also a people person. You have developed positive communication with the membership and tribal government,” Chairman Clement J. Frost said. Vice Chairman Alex Cloud, Executive Officer Andrew Frost and Director of Operations Non-Energy, Patrick Vaughn also showed their appreciation with farewell speeches and gifts. “Growth Fund employees are a team of professionals who are dedicated to what they do. You make it look easy and that’s what I loved most,” Baker said.
