The Boys & Girls Club of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe was on hand during Durango’s annual Snowdown winter celebration. BGC constructed a darkened alien tunnel that kids had to navigate through during the ‘Intergalactic Wipeout’ obstacle course on Saturday, Feb. 4 at Buckley Park.
Children of all ages navigated a darkened alien tunnel as part of the “Intergalactic Wipeout” obstacle course hosted by the Celebrating Healthy Communities Coalition of Durango.
Ellie Seibel and her all-girls-team the “Double Shot Baliens” competed in the tournament, but failed to make it to the finals.
As Snowdown themes change, one thing that remains constant is SUCAP’s Dodgeball Tournament. On Thursday, Feb. 2, Intergalactic dodge ball teams took to the Durango Recreation Center to battle it out for top prize.
Adam Red and Lynelle Scott assisting their little Bobcats in activities for Kindergarten Family Night. Families ate a dinner of Mac N Cheese. Then read Jan Brett’s “The Mitten” and did some fun and educational activities around the book.
