We are pleased to invite the community to a Celebration of the Animas River on Sunday, Nov. 1 from Noon – 2 p.m. at the La Plata County Fairgrounds. The San Juan Basin Health Department invites everyone to join us in a celebration of the Animas River and an open house to answer your questions about the Gold King Mine Spill, your health, and the health of the river. The event will provide information and an opportunity to ask questions of the organizations in the community who work to support the river. It will also feature fun and informative activities and light refreshments will be provided.
