SUPD bids farewell to Mitchell


On Tuesday, Oct. 6 the Southern Ute Police Department held a going away party for Southern Ute Police Officer Matthew Mitchell. Officer Mitchell has served the Southern Ute Indian Tribe as a Police Officer for over five years. He was a Field Training Officer, Tactical Team Member and Evidence Technician. He will be moving to Arizona with his significant other, Lauren. We wanted to wish Matthew continued success and thank him for his service to the Southern Ute Indian Tribe. Chairman Clement J. Frost, Vice Chairwoman Ramona Y. Eagle and Executive Officer Michelle Taylor-Cruz were also in attendance at the luncheon that was held at SUPD. Officer Mitchell was presented with a Thank You letter from Chairman Frost on behalf of Tribal Council.
