The Ute Mountain Ute Public Works Dept. delivered approximately 45 boxes of corn, including yellow and acorn squash as well as green beans from the Farm and Ranch Int. of the Ute Mountain Ute Tribe on the west side of their reservation. The deed was done as Simon Light said, “We wanted to share what we have with the Southern Utes, our ‘sister tribe’. We were able to provide for our tribal members back home and wanted to share with our sister tribe.” Acting Director Marcianne Wing for UMU public works also helped gather the corn and greet tribal members as they picked up their corn.
