The Southern Ute Indian Tribe announced today Darrell Owen has been appointed as the Finance Director for the Southern Ute Indian Tribe Growth Fund.  Mr. Owen will also serve as a member of the Growth Fund Management Committee and a manager of GFMC, LLC.

Mr. Owen brings over 15 years of financial and accounting experience to the position. He has worked for the Tribe for 11 years in various financial and accounting positions. In the last four years Mr. Owen has served as the Chief Financial Officer of the Growth Fund. Prior to working for the Tribe, Mr. Owen spent eleven years in the downstream energy business in various management roles in finance, mergers and acquisitions, and operations. Mr. Owen holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College.
