Dinner and a song for our vets

Ignacio Middle and High School students (above) enjoyed their time performing for all the veterans in the crowd.
The Ignacio High School Choir sang each song for each branch of the military. Veterans were asked to stand when they heard their branch song.
Howard D. Richards Sr., was one of the many veterans who attended the Veterans Dinner held at the Ignacio Middle School Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Ignacio High School Principal, Melanie Taylor, read a letter titled, “I Refuse” and “Sacrifice, Suffering and Strength: The Story of an Ex-POW” from her cousin, James “Bill” Bailey who has served in the Military.

The Ignacio community came together Tuesday, Nov. 11 to honor veterans with food and entertainment. The Ignacio High School Choir preformed songs for the veterans after dinner was served at the Ignacio Middle School.
