As part of the 4th Annual Recovery Retreat, Native Love sponsored an MMIR Awareness & Wellness Walk. The walk began early Saturday morning, May 16 from the Sky Ute Casino Resort, and continued around Scott’s Pond, along the Pine River Trail, and back to the casino.
Approximately 25 walkers venture out early on Saturday morning, May 16, from the Sky Ute Casino Resort, prior to the 4th Annual Recovery Retreat. The walkers head south on CR 517 towards Scott’s Pond, along the Pine River, then back to the Casino. Native Love hosted the innaugural MMIR Awareness Wellness Walk as part of the 4th Annual Recovery Retreat.
Led by Behavioral Health staffers, James Wilson and Rebecca Gale, walkers make their way towards Scott’s Pond.
“Gone but not forgotten,” Nicholas “Nicc 4” Aarates of Towaoc, Colo., is honored by Jai'Markus Height during the Native Love MMIR Awareness and Wellness Walk.

Wayhen “Moon” Smith runs the course, stopping briefly to comment, “the walk along the river is spiritual, I wanted to stop and just sit by the river, and take it in.”
