New therapist at Behavioral Health

I am Little Shell Chippewa, a therapist and a social justice warrior, and advocate with more than 10 years of behavioral health counseling experience. I attended college at UCDavis and graduate school at DU in Denver.

I have worked largely with American Indians and Alaska Natives that live with intergenerational and historical trauma and the results of which are largely trauma and substance use struggles. My approach is based on a foundation of Structural Competency, which simply means I bring awareness of all the ways a person’s health equity is affected in our world so we can overcome barriers to living a happy and healthy life. I have worked at a systems level and have returned to a direct counseling role and am very excited to work with the people here.

My main goal is to make a safe space and be authentic in the therapeutic relationship, which could include group counseling and individual therapy as well.
