Dr. Gregory Churchill is a board-certified gastroenterologist who serves patients with a deep respect for their stories, traditions, and health journeys. His work includes care for all aspects of digestive health—from common concerns like heartburn or abdominal pain to more complex conditions such as Crohn’s disease, liver disease, and colon cancer prevention.

He is especially experienced in managing chronic liver disease, including hepatitis and metabolic liver disease, which affect many communities and often go undiagnosed. “Liver health is central to whole-body health,” Dr. Churchill says. “It’s my job to help patients understand what’s happening inside their bodies and work with them to feel better and live fuller lives.”

Dr. Churchill believes strong care begins with strong relationships. Patients describe him as someone who listens without judgment, explains things clearly, and respects their values and choices.

Outside the clinic, Churchill finds connection through music. A lifelong guitarist, he says music helps him stay grounded and reminds him of the rhythm and resilience in life and healing. “Whether it’s medicine or music, it’s about being present and honoring each moment.”

With warmth, skill, and humility, Dr. Churchill is honored to serve and partner with patients at the Southern Ute Health Center.
