Dear Southern Ute tribal members and Tribal Heath Center patients, to assist you more effectively with the medical billing process, the Tribal Health team will be changing a few processes as of Sept. 1, 2025.   

What’s new, you ask?  There will be two mailboxes in two convenient locations for you to drop off your medical bills for payment consideration. Location one is inside the clinic lobby, the second location is in the front lobby of the Mouche Capote Building. These mailboxes will be checked daily, and the medical bills will be date stamped so the team can work on them in a timely manner.   

If you are not close to campus, we now have an email option for you.  Please email your medical bills to medicalbills@southernute-nsn.gov   

The last change will be time with our benefits coordinators. They will still be available to you; we ask going forward that you schedule an appointment with them. Why? This will help us stay more efficient and be able to track receipt of your bills, along with enhanced follow-up communication.  We will offer same day appointments for your convenience. We know it is frustrating to not receive resolution to your medical billing needs, and we hope that these changes will result in quicker turnaround times and better communication with you.
