My name is Jolene Martinez, I am from New Mexico. Since 2022, I have had the privilege of working at Southern Ute Behavioral Health as an Administrative Assistant II. In this role, I manage a variety of administrative tasks that are essential to keeping our operations running smoothly. My responsibilities include coordinating and scheduling appointments for our therapists and psychiatrists, arranging travel for training sessions, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our Behavioral Health building. I truly cherish the diversity of this job, it has me wearing many hats—no two days are the same.
What inspires me most about my position is the opportunity to meet new patients and build a sense of community within the Southern Ute Community. I deeply value the chance to support my colleagues and engage in community events alongside them.
One of my favorite ways to recharge is by savoring a good cortado and sharing laughter with my coworkers—it’s a simple yet powerful way to cultivate a positive and enjoyable work environment. When I’m not at work, I treasure spending quality time with my family, whether we’re playing outside or simply relaxing together at home.
Shout out to my children AJ and Dee, your strength, and the love you show every day mean the world to me. Keep being the amazing people you are.
