You can layer them with plain Greek yogurt and some nuts, heat them over the stove on medium with a bit of water as a compote to put on your whole grain waffles or French toast. You can also make these overnight oats so you can enjoy them in the morning before you go for that hike!
Summer Berry Overnight Oats
Ingredients:
- ½ cup uncooked whole rolled oats (not instant)
- ½ cup milk (cow, almond, or soy, etc.)
- 2 teaspoons ground flaxseed or chia seeds (optional)
- ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1-2 teaspoons honey, pure maple syrup or stevia
- ¼ cup fresh berries (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, blackberry, etc.)
Directions:
- Place all ingredients in the order above in a jar with a tight-fitting lid.
- Refrigerate for 8 hours or more.
- Stir and enjoy within 3-5 days!
