Sessions are designed to help communities develop strategies that respond successfully to substance use.

Pine River Shares and Southern Colorado Community Action Agency are teaming with Pine River Valley residents to develop strategies to respond to substance use in our communities. Pine River Valley residents who care about or who have been impacted by substance use are encouraged to attend. Sessions are open to all community members living in Bayfield, Ignacio, Vallecito, Tiffany, Allison, Arboles and Sam Brito. Stipends will be paid to participants and meals will be provided.

Substance use prevention and intervention efforts, oftentimes, do not reach people living in isolated communities of the Pine River Valley. The consequences can be disastrous, leaving families and communities vulnerable. The dialogue sessions will help participants create useful strategies and related action plans that specifically address each community’s assessments and solutions.

Thursday Community Dialogue Sessions schedule:

• Bayfield: Oct, 20, 5:45 – 8 p.m.
• Vallecito: Nov. 3, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
• Tiffany, Allison, Arboles and Sam Brito: Nov. 10, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
