Free and affordable health screenings to be offered
As it has done for over 40 years, 9Health:365 is hosting its annual spring health fairs now through May at more than 40 locations across Colorado, and residents in Ignacio will be able to receive access to free and affordable preventive health screenings and resources on Saturday, May 7 from 7-11 a.m. at Ignacio Hight School located at 315 Ignacio St.
“Following the unfortunate but necessary postponement of our community health fairs in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re thrilled to once again offer our spring health fairs to residents across Colorado,” said Gary Drews, CEO of 9Health:365. “9Health:365 has positively impacted the health of Coloradans for more than 40 years, and our community health fairs are an instrumental part of that continued effort.”

“With rising costs and inflation’s impact on the health care industry, these free and affordable health screenings are a vital resource to fill the gap for those who lack access to preventive health care and those who have high deductible insurance plans or no insurance at all,” added Drews.
Medical professionals will be on site to offer advice and assistance, helping participants to decide which screenings are right for them.
For those unable to attend a community health fair, 9Health:365 and Quest Diagnostics have partnered to offer the same affordable health screenings at Quest Diagnostics Lab Patient Centers (PSC). No doctor’s visit or insurance is needed.
In response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, 9Health:365 fairs will follow CDC safety guidelines and require participants to wear masks. While walk-up screenings will be accepted, appointments are encouraged.
