We are pleased to announce that a new camp for visually impaired children ages 9-17 has been created especially for those living in the Four Corners area but open to any student who qualifies.

Camp Abilities Four Corners is being held June 12-17, 2022 with up to 15 athletes prepared to learn and participate in sports such as hiking, golf, swimming and basketball. Camp will be based at the Historic Cameron Trading Post in Cameron, Ariz., with activities at the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff and Tuba City.

Many students with VI are left out of athletic activities at school or at home. Camp Abilities Four Corners will encourage students to participate fully in athletic and recreational activities that will support a healthy lifestyle and full participation in school and community activities.

If you have a student who is interested in attending camp this June, go to the website and fill out the student athlete interest form and we will contact you!

Camp Fee is $200 with some scholarships available. Student athletes must have a documented visual impairment and meet the behavioral and physical qualifications required for camp. All athletes and coaches/staff must be fully vaccinated as per national, state and Navajo Nation guidelines.

Camp Abilities Four Corners is an educational sports camp for young people with visual impairments located in northern Arizona. CAFC seeks to empower children who are visually impaired, blind, and deafblind by encouraging participation in sports and physical activities, and fostering self-advocacy for adaptations and modifications that will lead to increased independence and success.
