October has been designated as National Disability Employment Awareness Month.
People who experience disability must adapt on some level every day of their lives. During this past year and a half, we have been forced to adapt to the changes put upon us due to the health and safety risks caused by the spread of COVID-19. It has not been easy, but we must remember that we are resilient beings, and we are stronger when we work together.
This is a list of just some of the local resources and programs here in our tribal community and in La Plata County that may be able to assist you. Everyone needs assistance from time to time, there is no shame in reaching out for help.
