Southern Ute Tribe’s voluntary drive-through COVID-19 testing open to all local residents

Thursday’s COVID-19 testing is open to everyone, and is free of charge. Ends today at 5 p.m.

Individuals who wish to be tested for FREE do not have to be an enrolled member of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe, nor living with a tribal member or eligible for IHS services through the Southern Ute Health Center.

The Southern Ute Indian Tribe & Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) have collaborated on the voluntary drive-thru viral testing for COVID-19 which ENDS TODAY, June 11, 2020.

Today is the last day and testing has been opened up to the ENTIRE COMMUNITY. Individuals who wish to be tested DO NOT have to be enrolled Southern Ute Tribal Members, nor living in a tribal member household. If you live in the local area and wish to be tested, you are welcome to be tested TODAY, June 11, 2020 at the SUIT Voluntary Drive-thru Viral Testing at the Sky Ute Casino Resort. Testing is FREE!

Today is the last day and testing is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

All individuals who elect to be tested during the Voluntary Drive-thru Viral Testing will receive results from the voluntary viral testing. Results will take 5-7 days, and all individuals will receive a follow-up call from Southern Ute Health Center staff with the results of the test. If your test results are positive – you will receive a call with recommendations for care and tips for proper health safety precautions. If your test results are negative – you will receive a call and tips for proper health safety precautions.

Please also to wear a face mask to the testing site, every individual who wishes to be tested should wear a face mask prior to and after the test collection. Children under the age of 2 are not required to wear a face mask as it is not recommended for this age group. A “COVID-19 Testing and Demographics Release Form” will be required for every individual, copies will be provided by the Check-In station at the testing site.
