The Peace Runners pose with Elise Redd and Acting Tribal Information Services Director, Ace Stryker. The group included nationalities from Slovakia, Serbia, New Zealand, Russia, and Bali. They sang a song in sync for Redd and Stryker as a token of gratitude.
“Peace begins with me” is the program’s motto, implementing the runners to find peace inside their hearts and share the positive energy with others.
The program gathers members from all over the world, sharing their joy of running with new associates.

The Southern Ute Cultural Center and Museum was greeted by a group of young cross-country runners whom also have a culture of their own. The Peace Run Program paid a visit to the Southern Ute Indian Reservation on Thursday, May 29 for a tour of tribal campus where they got insight on Southern Ute heritage. The group met with Elise Redd, Culture Department director, who provided them information regarding the tribe’s history and traditions.
