Each year ahead of the powwow season, the Multi-Purpose Facility (MPF) hosts three community powwow events welcoming in new and experienced singers, dancers, and spectators to dust off their moccasins, warm up their voices and get into the powwow rhythm. On Saturday, March 15 the MPF March Community Powwow was a success, featuring two gourd dance sessions, potluck dinner, and Grand Entry of dancers. Sponsored by the MPF, attendees also enjoyed shopping with local vendors, a cake walk, free door prize raffle, and exhibition dancing. This event was held to encourage all to kick off their powwow season early, preparing for not only the upcoming Denver March Powwow but also other events leading into summer.
