Eagle's Nest Education

Kwanachigani pɵˈɵkwatʉ – Eagles Nest

SUIMA toddler students have adjusted well to being back in school.

We have been busy exploring different sensory materials as well as our environment and making fun art projects!

Last year our students noticed a tiny hole in the middle sidewalk at Veterans Park. Now every time we walk to Veterans Park the children always stop to play in that tiny hole. There is always water in there so students will put leaves and sticks in there. This time we went Sofia said “I’m going fishing” she got a stick, stuck it in the hole and pulled everything out that the students put in there. Sofia says, “Look, I got the fish”!

The afternoon kindergarten students have been studying the life cycle of an apple.  Along with this unit they have learned the parts of an apple, the names of different types of apples, and what products we eat and drink that come from apples.  Today our class made apple sauce.  The students enjoyed cutting up the apples and adding the needed ingredients to make this delicious treat.  Here are some pictures of how they accomplished this project.
